My name is Kenyatta Armstrong Williams, and I am honored and humbled that I have been selected for Teacher of the year at Woodley Elementary School.
I have four children and three grandchildren.
I earned my masters degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University. I attended undergrad at the
University of Southern Mississippi and received a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education.
This is my 16th year to teach!  I taught kindergarten 5 years, first
grade 2 years, second grade 3 years, third grade 3 years, and fifth grade 3 years at Lillie Burney  Elementary. This is my first Woodley Elementary where I am
teaching second grade math and science!
Second grade has always been my favorite of all grades.! Through the years, I have served in several capacities:
a team leader, a WOW member, a SOARS committee member, Teacher Advisory Committee member, and a mentor teacher.
I was the first generation in my family
to attend college and was once a student just like the ones I teach and somebody believed in me. Teaching is so rewarding and gives me a sense that I am making
the world a better place one student at a time. (Dr. Yvonne Bryant, Bettye Hopkins, Vivian Dyess) I say thank you for believing in me, and I am paying it forward.
