Eagles Play Kids Day Camp! 2016
Participants will participate in fun recreational activities, arts and crafts, swimming, nutritional counseling, field trips to favorite Southern Miss facilities and more!

JUNE CAMP DATES:
June 6-7 (Zoo Tots) :: Ages: 4-5 / Cost: $40 / 9 am - 1pm
June 10-14 (Animal Super Sleuths 1) :: Ages: 5-7 / Cost: 150 / 9 am - 4 pm
June 17-21 (Animal Super Sleuths 2) :: Ages: 8-10 / Cost: $150 / 9 am - 4 pm
During these camps, campers will receive clues to solve hypothetical zoo mysteries such as “The Rogue Flamingo,” “The Escaped Poacher” and other fun animal riddles.

JULY CAMPS DATES:
July 8-12 (Extinction Distinction 1) :: Ages: 5-7 / Cost: $150 / 9 am - 4 pm
July 15-19 (Extinction Distinction 2) :: Ages: 8-10 / Cost: $150 / 9 am - 4 pm
During these camps, campers will create a treasure map of clues concerning animal conservation. Throughout the week, campers will discover clues that lead them to reasons why animals may be “in danger” and will use their special map to lead the way in saving animals from a fate of extinction!

July 23-27 (Nature Rangers) :: Ages 11-13 / Cost: $155 / 9 am - 4pm Tues-Thu w/Overnight on Sat
During this camp, campers will realize that some animals at the zoo are “in trouble!” Campers will learn how to be conservation rangers and protect our animals from all types of harm. The interactive week will end with a Wildlife Show featuring the campers, as well as, a sleepover at the Zoo!


The Summer Gifted Studies Program 2016

Grades 4-8
One-week residential program, designed for intellectually gifted students in grades 4-9 with intelligence quotients of 121 or above on an individually administered test or who score in the 91st percentile or above at the national level on an achievement test. The program enhances the cognitive abilities of gifted students through planned enrichment/acceleration activities.

Nature Camp:  Living in the Longleaf

Rising 3rd - 6th Grade Students

Focuses on one of the most endangered habitats in the United States, the Longleaf Pine Savanna. Students will learn through hands-on activities immersed in some of the oldest Longleaf stands in the state. Each day, we will learn about the habitats surround south Mississippi and compare these beautiful places to other habitats around the world. Located at The Lake Thoreau Environmental Center.

ASAP Summer Bridge Camps
K-4 th grade students will participate in our Summer Bridge program where students will review previous skills learned and be introduced to skills for the upcoming year. The Summer Bridge program is guaranteed to be exciting with weekly field trips, health, and fitness as well as hands on art activities and science experiments.
