On Feb 29th, the students of Woodley Elementary honor and celebrate the memories and achievements of notable figures in African American history. For several weeks, during their library time, the students have been researching, not only the person, but the various aspects of their lives (ie, states of birth, fields of study, etc). Then the students created visuals to accompany their information. On Monday, the students set up their displays and several children were chosen to pose as the "wax" figures. The entire school walked through the "museum" after their lunch break and took a tour through history. We are very proud of the hard work and dedication of our students. Good work guys!!!
